CD REVIEW: Elektronika - "Night & Day - 2 Disc Set"

By Edgar Riebe – 06/19/04-8:00 AM PST

Night & Day
The newest release from the Seattle band Elektronika, Night & Day, is a must-have for anyone with a love of 80's synth dance music. While the music is new, it remains true to it's 80's roots of Depeche Mode and the like. The album is a two-disc set, so lots of music and it is really great.

My favorite tunes are the upbeat ones featuring Dawn, the female voice of the band, on such tracks as “Ethereal” and “Elektrik”. Jacob, the band's male singer, is great too, and really gives the band the Depeche feel on his tracks. Check out the great songs “Bleed” and “Sinful”

The music is smooth and polished and will make you want to hit the dance floor. Why isn't this band signed? Until then, they're our little secret...
